request for Invitation Letter needed for US Visa applications

March 1st, 2009:

submission of extended abstract (one full page, please)

April 1st, 2009:

commitment to present the paper (e-mail confirmation)

August 15th, 2009:

submission of full paper

For international participants who require an official invitation to obtain an U.S.A. entry visa:


  • In order to leave enough time for the U.S.A. Consulates abroad to process the visa applications, we would like to be notified by February 15th, 2009 of the intention to participate, and we will immediately send an Invitation Letter.
  • A $ 100 deposit towards the conference registration is required at the time of sending the Invitation Letter. This may be viewed by the examining Consular Officer as a proof of strong intent to participate in the conference. The deposit is fully refundable if the entry visa is denied (proof of visa rejection has to be provided for the refund to be processed).
